01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the scenic village of Ozon, Restaurant Le Panoramic offers an exquisite French fine dining experience that perfectly complements its stunning panoramic views over the Ardèche region. This charming establishment masterfully blends rustic ambiance with refined culinary artistry, making every visit a memorable journey for both the palate and the soul.

The cuisine here celebrates the best of regional French gastronomy with a contemporary twist. Guests can indulge in two thoughtfully crafted menus that showcase the chef’s dedication to quality and creativity. The Menu Découverte seduces with a delicate œuf mollet frit – a perfectly soft-boiled egg, lightly fried and served with a creamy seasonal vegetable purée and an earthy mushroom emulsion. Another standout is the caillette ardéchoise maison, a traditional pork and herb terrine paired beautifully with a fragrant tomato compote. For main courses, the tender suprême de volaille bathed in a vibrant olive and basil tomato sauce, or the expertly pan-seared dos de lieu noir served with a zesty beurre blanc, consistently earn praise for their depth of flavor and impeccable execution.

The Menu Plaisirs Nobles truly elevates the dining experience. Beginning with a refreshing ceviche de noix de Saint-Jacques—sea scallops marinated in citrus with ruby-red pomegranate pearls—the meal gracefully moves to a sublime foie gras mi-cuit accompanied by a gently caramelized onion jam and toasted rye bread. The main courses, such as the perfectly seared filet de bœuf with rich morel sauce or the delicate medallion of monkfish enhanced by a sweet and tangy tomato beurre blanc infused with sherry vinegar, demonstrate a fine balance of bold flavors and subtle finesse. The desserts, particularly the airy choux chantilly à la praline rose and the luscious dark chocolate mousse, provide an indulgent finale that satisfies both the eye and taste buds.

Dining at Le Panoramic is as much about the atmosphere as it is the food. Visitors frequently mention the warm, welcoming service led by the attentive Restaurant Manager, Rachel, who ensures every guest feels cherished. The rustic yet elegant décor, combined with a well-appointed terrace and intimate conservatory, offers breathtaking views that elevate each meal into a serene celebration of place and flavor. It is clear from returning patrons like Simon Foster and delighted visitors such as Anne Taylor and Jennifer van Leeuwen-Raaijmakers that this restaurant is not just a meal stop, but a cherished highlight of their Ardèche travels.

Whether you are a local or a traveler seeking an authentic taste of French culinary tradition amidst spectacular scenery, Restaurant Le Panoramic promises a harmonious blend of exceptional ingredients, heartfelt hospitality, and a truly unforgettable dining atmosphere. Reservations are highly recommended, as this gem tends to fill quickly—once you experience it, you’ll understand why guests keep returning, time and again.

Not our first visit and certainly not the last! Great welcome and a terrace and small conservatory area that will take your breath away (so do reserve to avoid disappointment). Simple menu with great ingredients. Large wine selection for those wanting to treat themselves. And the chef must have 4 hands. We were there and a coach of 30 turned up. Thta didn't seem to make any difference to the service.
